Indoor farm worker

Aqua Verti Company, a leader in innovative indoor farm worker, is seeking dedicated Indoor Farm Workers to join our dynamic team in Canada. This role is pivotal in maintaining and harvesting our diverse range of crops grown using advanced aquaponics and hydroponics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and maintaining optimal plant health, including watering, pruning, and managing nutrient supply.
• Assisting in the setup and operation of aquaponics and hydroponics systems.
• Harvesting, packaging, and preparing produce for distribution.
• Ensuring cleanliness and order in the farming area.
• Collaborating with the team to implement sustainable farming practices.
• Reporting any issues with plant health or equipment to the supervisor.

Your role Indoor farm worker

• Daily tasks related to crops (planting, transplanting, harvesting and maintenance)
• Data entry
• Participate in team meetings to help improve processes
• Ensure the cleanliness of the production area and facilities

We are looking for a person who is :

• Passionate about sustainable and urban agriculture
• Detail oriented with high quality of work and can follow processes and procedures as required.
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Creative and problem solving skills
• Able to work standing for long periods of time.
• Hydroponics or greenhouse experience (theoretical / practical) would be considered an asset.

Part-time hours: 30 per week
