Te Whatu Ora are seeking for clinical pharmacist to join their team in Wairarapa Hospital, New Zealand.  Wairarapa hospital provide flexibility and a positive attitude within a healthcare setting, especially one as dynamic as a hospital. For this position, candidate have ability to welcoming and provide inclusive environment to staff but also improves the quality of care provided to patients within the hospital. It must experienced clinical pharmacist with or without postgraduate qualifications and ability to work towards specialising in a specific area of interest for this fulltime permanent position in pharmacy department in New Zealand. Candidate have excellent verbal and non- verbal communication with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members, salary range for this position is 86,000 as per year and have ability to work within a team.

Responsibilities for clinical pharmacist:

  • Candidate will participate in the development of clinical services and implementation of health initiatives.
  • It is responsible to assist with dispensing medications, medication reconciliation, and patient counselling.
  • Participating in ward rounds and clinical meetings to support medication management.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of hospital protocols and guidelines related to medication use.
  • Collaborating with pharmacy technicians and other staff to maintain efficient workflow in the dispensary.
  • Participating in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement projects.
