Te Whatu Ora are seeking for care manager to join their team in Richmond and Marlborough health Hubs in Nelson hospital, New Zealand. Nelson hospital provide mental health support to children and youth up to 18 years old with serious mental health disorders. For this position, candidate have ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, conducting comprehensive assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions. Candidate have ability to work 32 hours per week in the hospital. Salary range for this position is NZ 60,000 as per year. Candidate must have least two years experience in mental health setting for this part-time permanent position in Nelson hospital.
Requirements for Care Manager:
- Registered nurse or allied health professional with at least 2 years experience, preferably in child and adolescent mental Health service (iCAMHS) or mental health setting.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current research findings and trends in child and adolescent mental health service delivery.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams comprising psychiatrists, mental health nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
- Ability to work within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
Skills and Experience for Care Manager:
- Candidate have ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to the needs of children and youth with serious mental health disorders.
- Ability to engage in inter-agency work with community services, including Oranga Tamariki, schools, GPs, and local Māori networks.
- It has strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients, their support networks, and other agencies and service providers.
- Awareness and sensitivity to cultural diversity, with a particular emphasis on working with Māori communities and understanding the principles of Tikanga Māori.
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in the face of changing circumstances and demanding situations.
