The ideal candidate, actively pursuing vocational registration or already vocationally registered, will collaborate closely with a skilled team of nurses, fellow general practitioners, and experienced administration staff, all under the guidance of a dedicated practice manager. It have ability to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages within the hospital. Responsibilities for General Practitioner (GP):
- Candidate must completion of a medical degree from a recognized institution is essential. This typically includes undergraduate education followed by medical school training.
- It must be full registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligibility for registration is necessary.
- Vocationally registered GPs or those working toward vocational registration are preferred.
- Completion of general practice training or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective patient interactions, collaboration with healthcare teams, and documentation of medical records.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds are essential for providing patient-centred care.
