Te Whatu Ora- southern is seeking for counselling mental health to join their team at Lakeview, mental health in New Zealand. The ideal candidate is responsible for assessing, diagnosing and treating individuals and their families that is affected by mental illness and emotional issues. The Te Whatu Ora providers services to 350,000 peoples across diverse communities. The qualified mental health professional must coordinate the assessments, counselling and referral of clients while working within a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans for optimal client outcomes. It must have ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm within the hospital.
Qualifications for Counselling mental health:
- The candidate must hold bachelor’s degree in nursing and occupational therapy degree.
- It must have at least two years experience in mental health programs.
- Experience in rural service delivery and community partnership.
- Proficiency with Cerner or other electronic health record(EHR) system.
- Ability to proficiency with Microsoft office suites including M.s Word and M.s Excel to manage data record.
Responsibilities for Counselling mental health:
- Candidate is responsible to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments including identifying precipitating events and health and safety risks.
- Capability to gather histories of mental and physical health, substance use and criminal justice contacts.
- It must have ability to assessing family, cultural, social and work relationships.
- Proficiency in conducting mental status examinations.
- Ability to develop safety plans and supervise the implementation of person-centred treatment plans.
