Focusing on key industry verticals the Business Development Manager of Enterprise is responsible for driving new business through identifying the most valuable opportunities to acquire new corporate partners, ultimately increasing News Corp’s footprint in the Australian corporate landscape. The role will entail delivering customer acquisition strategy, as well as applying your industry sales knowledge to segment the market and understand where the most valuable and long term opportunities lie. This role will work with the marketing team to drive sales, activation and engagement.
- Work closely with the Head of Enterprise to identify and deliver an acquisition strategy
- Acquisition of new corporate customers via key verticals, nationally and across multiple NCA assets
- Strong internal stakeholder management is essential and will be a major factor to success in the BDM role
- Develop strategies with Head of Enterprise using insights and analytics to build an effective sales roadmap and pipeline
- Deliver on aggressive new business targets, across volume and revenue, for the Enterprise team across The Australian and the broader News Corp assets
- Prospect new customers and develop effective relationships to drive acquisition to the highest revenue outcome
- Manage customers seamlessly with the onboarding process, simultaneously managing relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure efficiency and the absolute best in market customer experience
- Consult with the corporate market on compliance solutions for employee workflow, and custom API solutions for enterprise applications such as CMS, intranet and Ai LLM models.
- To be part of, and contribute to, a high performing and accountable team, participating in performance and coaching sessions and supporting an environment that encourages honest and open feedback.
Who are you
- Minimum 3 years in a new business development role
- Proven ability to deliver new business via prospecting, canvassing and closing
- Proven internal stakeholder experience that has led to contributing to a successful strategic sales roadmap
- Track record of successfully managing large complex and concurrent projects
- Strong strategic sales skills – adding valuable insights into the Enterprise sales roadmap
- Strong relationship building skills – successfully build and manage effective (senior) relationships, both internally and externally
- Solid project management skills – able to multi-task and priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
