Inspect the quality of the welds using the “phase array” procedure according to ASME and SNTC standards. Performs “phase array” non-destructive testing between different factories. Carries out the inspection, interprets the results and issues and conclusion in the required report.
YOUR EVERYDAY
- Perform visual inspection of welds
- According to the required requirements on the drawings
- Prepare welds for inspection
- Perform the inspection using the “phased array” procedure
- Interpret the results
- Identify faults if required
- Issue a report at each inspection
- Perform the inspection using magnetic particles if required
- Perform the inspection using penetrating liquid if required
- All other related task
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
- CGSB inspector level II training
- Be able to perform 100% of the main tasks and responsibilities
- CGSB / ASME ultrasound training and certification or equivalent
- Training and certification for the CGSB / ASME “phased array” or equivalent
- SNTC certification in radiography (an asset)
- Overhead crane operator training (internal)
- Can read / write (English / French)
- An alert sense of observation
- A sense of autonomy, resourcefulness and productivity
- Respect for OH&S techniques
