Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, our Eliwana operation is seeking a suitably qualified, highly experienced Mining Supervisor. Mining Supervisors are responsible for all aspects of Load & Haul functions of open pit mining operations. The role is focused around leading a team of committed people who share a vision of being the safest and most efficient Mining Team.
Working with a diverse team reporting to the maintenance Services Supervisor, your role will be required to maintain all the HME fire suppression systems, both in a planned and breakdown scenario. All works will be required to comply with Fortescue’s safe working practices and to industry standards. In addition, you will be required to perform additional trades assistant type tasks within the Mobile maintenance department. Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain all the HME fire suppression systems
- Diagnose and repair system defects
- Provide documentation of all system defects and repair methods carried out
- Raise notifications to assist with system maintenance
- Complete trade assistant type tasks within workshop infrastructure compliance/maintenance
- Ensure FMG and site operations procedures and policies are followed
- Adapting to new technologies
Qualifications
- Experience installing, diagnosing, and repairing Fire Suppression systems (e.g. rise of pressure & loss of pressure systems)
- Sound knowledge of different Fire Suppression systems – i.e. Muster, Striker, Fogmaker, Worlmald & FSI
- Certificate II Fire Suppression System
- Capable of working safely in a team and autonomously
- Experience in computer based maintenance systems – SAP desirable
- EWP, working at heights, Rigging, Forklift and confined space training desirable
