Farm Worker – Vegetables

Position Overview

As a Farm Worker in our vegetable division, you will assist with the day-to-day activities of planting, growing, and harvesting vegetables. This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to work collaboratively in a fast-paced farm environment.

Salary: $17.85 – $18.50 per hour
Hours: 40–48 hours per week (may include overtime and weekends during peak seasons)

Key Responsibilities

• Plant, cultivate, irrigate, and harvest vegetable crops.

• Operate and maintain basic farm tools and equipment.

• Sort, clean, and pack vegetables for storage or shipment.

• Monitor and report crop conditions, pests, or diseases to supervisors.

• Weed, prune, and maintain crop rows to ensure healthy growth.

• Load and unload materials such as fertilizer, crates, and harvested produce.

• Follow all health, safety, and food-handling standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• No formal education required; training will be provided.

• Previous farm experience is an asset but not mandatory.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and standing for long periods.

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Team player with strong work ethic and reliability.

• Basic English language skills are an asset.
