The Dairy Farm Worker will play an essential role in the daily care and management of dairy cattle, milking operations, feeding, and general farm maintenance. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and a genuine interest in animal care.

We are currently seeking motivated and hardworking Dairy Farm Workers to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Dairy Farm Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Milking cows using both manual and automated milking systems.

  • Feeding and monitoring cattle to ensure proper nutrition and health.

  • Cleaning and sanitizing barns, stalls, and milking equipment to maintain hygienic conditions.

  • Assisting with calving, breeding, and herd health management under the guidance of supervisors or veterinarians.

  • Monitoring livestock for signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior and reporting issues promptly.

  • Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment safely.

  • Handling and storing feed, bedding, and other farm supplies.

  • Performing general farm maintenance, including repairing fences, cleaning pens, and maintaining equipment.

  • Following health, safety, and animal welfare standards at all times.

Education & Experience

  • Education: No formal education is required; training will be provided on-site.

  • Experience: Previous dairy or livestock farm experience is an asset but not required. Applicants with a willingness to learn will be considered.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong physical stamina to handle demanding tasks such as lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, and walking for extended periods.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail when handling livestock and farm equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative in daily farm tasks.

  • Good communication skills and willingness to follow instructions.

  • Commitment to animal welfare, safety, and farm cleanliness.

Work Conditions

  • Fast-paced farm environment with repetitive tasks.

  • Exposure to farm odors, dust, chemicals, and varying weather conditions.

  • Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime may be required during peak times.

  • Work involves direct contact with livestock and agricultural machinery.
