Key Responsibilities

As a Casual Cleaner, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Carrying out daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, mopping, and polishing floors.

• Sanitizing surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to maintain high hygiene standards.

• Cleaning and maintaining resident living areas, staff offices, and public facilities.

• Emptying bins and ensuring proper disposal of waste in line with health and safety guidelines.

• Replenishing cleaning supplies and reporting low stock or equipment issues to supervisors.

• Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed within scheduled timeframes.

• Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times to minimize risks.

• Supporting special cleaning requirements for events, emergencies, or seasonal needs.

• Upholding the organization’s values by providing a clean, welcoming, and respectful environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications and Experience

While formal education is not required for this position, the following will be considered an advantage:

• Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance.

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safe handling practices, and equipment use.

• Ability to follow schedules and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

• Good communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow instructions.

• Physical stamina to carry out physically demanding cleaning tasks such as lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing.
