Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a variety of tasks across meat processing, including slaughtering, cutting, trimming, boning, packing, and quality inspection.

• Operate processing equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in line with company and regulatory requirements.

• Follow strict health and safety protocols to ensure a safe workplace.

• Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow team members to meet daily production targets.

• Assist with cleaning, maintenance, and general labouring tasks as required.

Skills and Requirements

• No formal qualifications are required; training will be provided.

• Previous experience in meat processing, food production, or factory work is an advantage but not essential.

• Physically fit and able to handle repetitive tasks, standing for long hours, and lifting where necessary.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Commitment to food safety, quality, and workplace safety.

• Flexibility to work different shifts as part of rostered shift work.

Work Conditions

• Type: Full-time, seasonal contract for the 2025 / 2026 season.

• Location: Te Kuiti, Waikato.

• Schedule: Shift work, with varying hours depending on production demand.

• Work environment may be cold, noisy, and physically demanding, requiring appropriate protective clothing (provided by the company).
