Fruit Farm Worker

Baldja Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and reliable Fruit Farm Worker to join our orchard operations in Donnybrook, Western Australia. Salary: $71,000 – $83,000 per year plus superannuation

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the health and condition of fruit crops.

• Manage irrigation systems and water supplies to support crop growth.

• Perform soil preparation and crop maintenance tasks including planting, thinning, weeding, hoeing, and pruning fruit trees.

• Install and maintain support structures such as trellises, netting, greenhouses, and fencing.

• Clean, maintain, and operate farm infrastructure and equipment, including sheds, machinery, and fences.

• Apply pesticides as required to control weeds, pests, fungi, and diseases.

• Perform pruning and thinning of apple trees.

• Monitor cool room temperatures and controlled atmosphere levels (CO2 and O2).

• Assist with loading cool rooms and trucks; forklift experience is advantageous.

• Demonstrate tasks and proper procedures to new staff.

Skills and Experience Required

• At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience in fruit farming.

• Practical knowledge of farm machinery and equipment operation.

• Sound understanding of fruit production and maintenance practices.

• Ability to work independently in remote or rural settings.

• Good physical fitness and commitment to safe work practices.

• A current driver’s licence is highly desirable.
