Key Responsibilities
Accurately count bulk merchandise in primary warehouse locations, verifying quantities against system records
Perform appropriate adjustments on inventory levels when discrepancies are found, following established protocols
Research discrepancies related to inventory levels, tracing errors back to root causes such as receiving mistakes or picking errors
Request return authorizations from vendors, pull product, package items securely, and ship returns and recalls
Provide internal and external customer support regarding inventory availability and order status
Assist with physical inventory counts, which may require overtime and weekend work periodically
Develop and implement new processes and procedures when necessary to improve accuracy and efficiency
Support the Inventory Department with tasks including placing purchase orders, writing narcotic blanks, monitoring service levels, and breaking down deals
Qualifications
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience and education is required. Normally less than one year of equivalent work experience is needed, making this an excellent entry level opportunity. You must have strong product knowledge or the ability to learn quickly. Good interpersonal skills for working with team members and other departments are essential. Strong mathematical skills for counting and reconciling inventory are necessary. You need strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records. The ability to implement processes that result in satisfactory audit practices is expected. You must have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for basic data entry and reporting. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing is required. You must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory counts. Compliance with DEA regulations and safety rules is mandatory.
Benefits and Perks
This full time position pays USD 23.55 per hour, which translates to approximately USD 49,000 annually based on a forty hour week. Overtime is available and paid at applicable rates.
