Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the interior design direction for multiple large scale hospitality projects including hotels, resorts, and food and beverage spaces

  • Engage directly with senior clients to understand their vision, present design concepts, and secure approval at each stage

  • Influence client decisions through compelling presentations, data driven recommendations, and a deep understanding of hospitality trends

  • Oversee project teams including junior designers, architects, and external consultants to ensure design intent is maintained from sketch to completion

  • Review and approve material selections, furniture specifications, lighting plans, and all finishing details

  • Manage project timelines and budgets, coordinating with procurement and construction teams to avoid delays or cost overruns

  • Foster a proactive and collaborative team culture, mentoring junior staff and encouraging creative problem solving

  • Stay current with global hospitality design trends, sustainability practices, and new materials or technologies

  • Participate in business development activities including pitch presentations and client relationship management

Qualifications

Minimum fifteen years of interior design experience with a strong focus on hospitality projects including hotels, resorts, or large scale restaurants. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. A portfolio that demonstrates successful large scale hospitality projects from concept to completion. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior clients and stakeholders. Proven leadership experience managing design teams and fostering positive studio culture. Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Revit is expected. Knowledge of Singapore and regional building codes and hospitality standards is a plus.
