Associate – Project Coordinator (Banking Systems) Hong Kong

A leading international bank in Hong Kong needs an Associate Project Coordinator to join its Information Technology Department. This full time role sits within the Application and System Group. You will support key Head Office and local banking systems used by front, middle, and back office teams. You will provide day to day user support and help resolve issues quickly. In addition, you will coordinate system projects with Head Office, external vendors, IT specialists, and business users. If you hold a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline with at least four years of experience in IT project coordination or application support, this role suits you. Banking experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day to day user support on Head Office and local banking systems

• Help resolve user issues and enquiries promptly and effectively

• Coordinate system projects with Head Office, external vendors, and IT specialists

• Ensure clear communication and smooth delivery of project milestones

• Organise and track project activities including user coordination, meetings, and UAT planning

• Plan and execute user acceptance testing for system releases

• Arrange training and prepare for system deployments

• Conduct feasibility studies and impact analysis for proposed system changes

• Assess technical and business implications of each change

• Coordinate system arrangements to support industry and regulatory changes

• Respond to HKMA and HKICL initiatives as required

• Participate in related annual tests and exercises

• Contribute to process and control improvements within the Application and System Group

• Help ensure systems remain stable, efficient, and compliant with internal standards

Qualifications

• Degree holder in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline

• At least four years of experience in IT project management, project coordination, or business application support

• Banking experience is strongly preferred

• Strong IT literacy with good knowledge of banking systems and applications

• Familiarity with user acceptance testing and change management

• Solid analytical skills and a strong sense of responsibility

• Self motivated and able to work independently

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to liaise effectively with users, IT teams, and external vendors

• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

• Mandarin is an advantage for regional and Head Office coordination
