Te Whatu Ora is seeking a clinical laboratory scientist to join their team at Whangarei hospital in New Zealand. The ideal candidate have ability to provide quality and health safety standards of pathology service. It is responsible for monitoring compliance with accreditation and legal requirements, and enhancing overall quality and safety of patientcare. This permanent, full-time position with opportunities for professional development and training to enhance the quality and health safety management. Candidate have ability to work 9- 10 hours per day within the hospital. Salary range for this position is $63,500 per year. For this position, candidate must have licensed medical laboratory scientist experience with current annual practicing certificate (APC) is certificated to practice and maintain professional competence.
Responsibilities for Clinical Laboratory Scientist:
- The candidate must have ability to provide a quality and safe pathology service that ensure timely and accurate results to laboratory users.
- They should advocate for best practice, ensuring compliance with accreditation and legal authorities.
- Participate in pathology quality, health and safety process improvements within the pathology service.
- It is responsible to provide high quality and health safety standards of pathology service.
- Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Qualifications for Clinical Laboratory Scientist:
- The candidate must hold a registered and licensed clinical laboratory scientist degree.
- They should possess a current annual practicing certificate (APC) certificate to practice and uphold professional competence.
- It must have prior experience in a medical laboratory and quality management system.
- Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships.
- Have excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Be an innovative thinker with the ability to solve problems effectively.
