Requirements for clinical nurse:

  • Candidate must hold current registration with the health practice registration authority (APHRA) as a registered nurse.
  • It must possession of a current practicing certificate.
  • Willingness to participate in background checks including criminal conviction record reports, bankruptcy record searches, and previous employment and referee checks as per regulatory requirement
  • Participation in an on-call roster means being available outside of regular working hours to respond to urgent healthcare needs as they arise.

Responsibilities of clinical nurse:

  • Candidate is responsible for providing nursing care to recipients of primary healthcare services across remote (TCHHS).
  • Acting as a role model for registered nurses and healthcare workers in holistic primary healthcare provision.
  • Using evidence-based clinical practice to achieve positive outcomes for recipients of Primary and Acute healthcare services.
  • Participating in a multidisciplinary team to foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability within a patient and family-centred care philosophy in primary health care facilities.
