Deckhand – Feed Delivery Job in Huon Aquaculture, Australia

The role

The Deckhand will assist with the supply of feed to our zones in the Channel and Storm Bay, and:

• Assist with the efficient delivery of feed, diesel, fuel, and potable water.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with maintaining the seaworthiness of the vessel through day-to-day maintenance using hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment.
• Assist with the timely removal of waste from barges.
• Comply with the laws of navigation and maritime legislation.
• Located at Port Huon you will work on the deck of the Huon Supply and Southern Condor. Duties may include work on our pens and feed bins.

About you

• You have a passion for working on the water and ideally hold a Deck Machinery certificate and Forklift licence.
• You have excellent communication and enjoy working as part of a small team.
• You are able to adapt, deal with uncertainty and remain calm in a changing environment.
• Bonus points for relevant experience on a similar vessel.
