Te Whatu Ora – Southern is seeking for enrolled nurse – forensic ward to join their team at Wakari hospital, Dunedin in New Zealand. The ideal candidate have ability to provide support and assisting patients in psychological and physical ways. Te Whatu Ora – Southern hospital provide a comprehensive healthcare services to a diverse population of 350,000 people across the lower South Island. The candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health and forensic needs. It must have ability to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range is $83,349 per year.

Qualifications for Enrolled Nurse – Forensic Ward:

  • Candidate must hold a current diploma of enrolled nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • It must be a current registered nursing council of New Zealand certificate as a enrolled nurse.
  • Previous experience in a mental health, psychiatric nursing setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, monitoring and care delivery.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and documentation system.

Responsibilities for Enrolled Nurse – Forensic Ward:

  • Candidate is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health and forensic needs.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of individualized care plans.
  • Ability to monitor and patients physical and mental health status.
  • Confident in providing support and assisting patients in psychological and physical ways.
