What You’ll Do
As a Farm Hand at Combview Farms, no two days are the same! You’ll play a vital role in caring for our milking cows and maintaining our state-of-the-art dairy farm. Your responsibilities will include:
- Livestock Care: Feed and care for calves and cows, ensuring their health and welfare.
- Daily Maintenance: Clean stalls, calf and cow pens, work areas, and the milk house, including milking equipment.
- Farm Operations: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment (training provided!).
- Harvesting Support: Assist with mowing and storing hay and straw.
- Groundskeeping: Perform lawn maintenance using a lawn tractor, push mower, and trimmer.

- Experience: Prior dairy farm or livestock experience is a bonus, but not required—training is provided.

- Physical Ability: Comfortable with physical tasks like lifting, bending, and walking long distances.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently or collaborate with our friendly farm crew.
- Communication: Good verbal skills to coordinate with the team.
- Adaptability: Eager to embrace new farming practices and cutting-edge robotic technology.
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Pay: $18.00–$23.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility for farm needs
- Location: Combview Farms, Castleton, ON (in-person role)
- Start Date: Immediate openings available
Requirements
- Education: Secondary school diploma preferred, but not mandatory.
- Language: English required; French not needed.
- License: Valid driver’s license required for commuting and operating equipment.
- Commute: Must reliably commute to Castleton, ON, or be willing to relocate before starting.
