Farm Veterinarian Job In New Zealand

Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) is seeking for farm veterinarian to join their team at Hamilton in Waikato, New Zealand. The ideal candidate have ability to thrive the dynamic role to work closely with 1000 elite artificial breeding bulls. Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with clients and their team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range from $100,000 – $115,000 per year. Applicant must have at least 2 years of clinical experience in farm veterinarian.

Qualifications for Farm Veterinarian:

  • Candidate must hold a bachelor degree in veterinary science (BVSc) degree.
  • It must have at least 2 year of clinical experience.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions affecting farm animals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with farmers, farm workers and colleagues.
  • Ability to educate and advise clients on animal health and management practices.

Responsibilities for Farm Veterinarian:

  • Candidate have ability to provide emergency care and treatment for acute illnesses and injuries.
  • Ability to diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries and diseases in farm animals.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all animals treated.
  • Prepare reports on herd health, treatment outcomes and management recommendations.
