Responsibilities of Food Factory Worker:

  • Operates full-service Espresso Bar.
  • Sets up Espresso Bar for operation and obtains cash bank.
  • Maintains neat and clean work area.
  • Washes Espresso Bar equipment and utensils. Stocks service bars and assists supervisor on duty as necessary.
  • Restock Espresso Bar.
  • Operates a cash register, rings-up sales, accepts payment, and processes change.
  • Able to prep food items as needed. Scheduled tour of duty will require evenings, weekends, holiday work hours.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of correct proportions and mixes to use in preparing various espressos.
  • Knowledge to perform requirements stated above.
  • Ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve problem or seek assistance if needed.
  • Ability to follow cash handling procedures.
  • Incumbents are subject to continuous standing and walking, and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending.

Eligibility Criteria for Food Factory Worker:

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate and/or complete food handlers training

Qualifying Experience:

  • Must be able to follow simple oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning, and operate simple machines.
  • Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food, and for cleaning equipment and work area.
  • Must have cash handling experience.
  • Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate and/or complete food handler’s training.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background check.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from hiring preferences and priority consideration eligible.
