Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes to meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless and exceptional dining experience.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff as needed.
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks during busy service periods.
What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for a dedicated and skilled cook who brings passion, precision, and teamwork to the table. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a cook or chef in an Indian restaurant or similar setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of Indian Cuisine: Strong understanding of Indian cooking techniques, spices, and flavors.
- Time Management: Excellent multitasking skills to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Attention to Detail: A commitment to maintaining food safety, hygiene, and consistent dish quality.
- Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Work Eligibility: Valid work authorization for Australia (preferred).
- Availability: Willingness to work public holidays and flexible shifts.
- Additional Requirements: A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain one) and the ability to undergo a pre-employment medical check.
