AquaVerti Farms
AquaVerti Farms is the first vertical, hydroponic farm in Quebec. Located in Montreal, AquaVerti Farms produces a variety of pesticide-free, non-GMO lettuce, kale, and arugula using responsible and environmentally friendly practices. Our farm is growing, and we are looking for an agricultural worker to join our team.
This opportunity is ideal for someone interested in getting involved in urban agriculture.
Responsibilities associated with, but not limited to, this role:
- Contribute to daily farm tasks (seeding, harvesting, transplanting)
- Maintain production data
- Keep the production area clean while adhering to Canada GAP sanitation guidelines
- Participate in weekly team meetings to improve efficiency and workplace management
The ideal candidate should be:
- Passionate about urban and sustainable agriculture
- Able to follow processes and procedures with strong attention to detail
- Capable of working and performing well both in a team and independently
- Creative, with a proactive and innovative attitude
- Physically able to work standing for long periods, as the job is physically demanding
- Experience in hydroponic production or greenhouse work is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
