The General Farm Worker – Harvesting will assist with all aspects of crop harvesting, handling, and preparation for market. Key Responsibilities
As a General Farm Worker (Harvesting), you will:

Harvest crops by hand or using mechanical equipment.

Sort, clean, and pack harvested produce for market or storage.

Operate and maintain farm tools, tractors, and equipment safely and efficiently.

Assist with planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops during growing season.

Monitor produce quality, identifying and discarding damaged or inferior items.

Load and unload materials such as crates, fertilizers, or harvested crops.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, barns, and storage facilities.

Follow all health, safety, and food-handling protocols to ensure compliance with farm and industry standards.

Report crop issues (pests, diseases, or weather-related damage) to supervisors.

Support fellow farm workers and contribute to a collaborative, efficient team environment.
Education & Experience

Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.

Experience: Previous farm or agricultural work is an asset but not mandatory. Training will be provided on-site.
Skills & Competencies

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust).

Attention to detail when sorting and grading harvested produce.

Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, especially during peak harvest season.
