About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Maintenance & Grounds Team as a General Hand. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the maintenance of irrigation systems
  • Carrying out daily water testing, pool cleaning and assisting with maintaining the onsite water treatment plant
  • General gardening and landscaping throughout the resort
  • Waste management and rubbish collection
  • Lawn Mowing/edging
  • Pruning and hedging
  • Tree Management
  • Pest and Weed Control
  • Cleaning of campground facilities and public areas around the resort
  • Unloading weekly delivery of supplies
  • General handyman repairs and maintenance throughout the resort

About You

  • Experience in hotels or resorts is highly valued
  • Trade qualifications in carpentry or mechanics are preferred but not essential
  • Attention to detail is essential for creating and maintaining a beautiful, natural horticultural environment
  • A fun, energetic, hardworking, and lively personality is a must
  • A passion for the great outdoors and a desire to explore outback Australia
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility to work over a 7-day roster
  • A current valid driver’s licence is essential
  • Forklift ticket is preferred but not essential
  • Chainsaw ticket is preferred but not essential
