Herdsperson Job In New Zealand

Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu is seeking for herdsperson to join their team at Christchurch in Canterbury, New Zealand. The ideal candidate have ability to monitoring the health of the herd and identifying any sick or injured. Our organization is committed to ensure everyone is home safe everyday and implements a comprehensive pre-employment screening process. Candidate have ability to assist with general repairs and improvement around the farm. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range is $45,000-$55,000 per year.  Applicant must have strong work ethic and are always eager to learn and program the management and manufacturing process within the dairy farm.

Qualifications for Herdsperson:

• Candidate must have high school diploma.
• It must be familiar with milking procedures, animal handling and basic farm maintenance.
• Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• Ability to engage in the trials and evaluations that comes with regenerative farming practice.

Responsibilities for Herdsperson:

• Candidate have ability to operating and maintaining milking machinery.
• Ability to thrive in team settings, motivated by both individual achievements.
• Manage accurate records of milk productions, feed usage, and animal health.
• Assisting with fencing, irrigation and other farm infrastructure tasks.
