Bayshore
We are offering paid education and practical training spanning over a minimum of 8 weeks. The education will be Monday – Friday in-person at our branch office in Thorold, close to St. Catharine’s, ON. The first part of your journey as a Bayshore employee will be receiving the theoretical education. Following classroom education you will be placed with an educated preceptor to complete your practical training. You will learn the fundamentals to become a Home Support Worker. During your education you will have continuous access to a Bayshore Clinical Educator. Upon completion of the employer specific training you will start working immediately with Bayshore clients, in the local community.

- Other experience that prepares you for HSW Training- housekeeping, hospitality, dietary aide, companionship, foreign trained caregiver, informal care giving experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support with activities of daily living:
- Complete tasks such as skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care
- Help clients with comfortable positioning, lifts, transfers and light exercising like assisted walking
- General household management including light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation
Lead caring and meaningful conversations and activities focused on client emotional health - Use Infection Prevention & Control Practices, protective equipment to keep you and your client safe
- Foster a safe and comfortable environment for clients, promoting their independence and well being.
- Build a strong rapport and trust with client and their families through compassionate & attentive care.
- Maintain accurate records of client care activities and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Work locations: Haldimand County and Norfolk County.
- Plus paid travel compensation, Vacation pay

- You have a G or G2 Drivers License and a personal vehicle to drive independently each workday.
- You are willing to drive in a scheduling area from client to client, each work day.
- You can work 3-4 weekdays, evenings as required and every other Saturday and Sunday
- You are able to pass a background check
