You will be responsible for providing technical support in areas such as operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or post-market development with the use of service manuals, work instructions and defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. You may also be involved in handling technical data using established formulas and procedures and perform detailed service reports to help identify opportunities for improvements to optimise work processes.
Responsibilities
- Performs in-house servicing on a wide variety of medical devices at the S&R Workshop as per AS/NZ 3551:2012
- Performs maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired medical devices
- Performs loan return testing and assists with service loan supply management
- Diagnoses electrical, mechanical, software and systems failures using established procedures
- Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and serviceability issues
- May communicate with field-based technicians for details helpful to failure diagnostics or repair and may include direct client communication (further queries, quotes etc)
- Performed new product testing as part of the Australian Pre-delivery inspection process
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical or similar) is preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in MedTech or a similar service-related industry
- Proven strong ability in handling varied and complex equipment troubleshooting cases
- Proven solid knowledge and experience of systems, techniques and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education
- Demonstrated solid knowledge and understanding of AS/NZ 3551:2012 and ISO 13485:2016
