Hydroponic farmer

As part of our growth, we are looking for full-time hydroponic farmer in the Atlanta, GA area. Farmers are responsible for all aspects of leafy green production in our indoor, environmentally controlled farms. This is a fast paced production environment and areas of focus include seeding, transplanting, harvesting, packing and clean up on a daily basis. Please note that this position requires a flexible work schedule that may involve night, weekend and/or holiday shifts. Ideal candidates are willing to work flexible hours, Sunday through Friday, depending on the needs of the business.

What you will do As Hydroponic farmer

• Responsible for all aspects of production for growing green leafy vegetables: checking product quality, trimming, packing, weighing and canning.
• Responsible for the daily operation of the pods: harvesting, transplanting, cleaning, maintenance and general upkeep.
• Loading of products and assistance with delivery of orders
• Report observations, including plant anomalies and system problems, to the farm supervisor.
• Develop and discuss alternative and innovative strategies for indoor agriculture, food security and maintenance.
• Performs all duties with high standards of food safety and security.

This position requires a high degree of manual labor, including

• stand for the duration of the shift
• Repetitive manual tasks, grasping, pinching, pulling.
• Repetitive use of ladders
• Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching and twisting.
• work daily in a humid and/or cold environment
