Responsibilities of Job:

  • Support projects under development and execution as well as support business development activities.
  • Provide GIS support across internal company departments and project packages.
  • Manage data delivery standards, and quality control of CAD and GIS data deliverables.
  • Produce maps / charts.
  • Managing all aspects of spatial data exchange.
  • Provide technical support on engineering designs, geophysical surveys / geotechnical surveys.
  • Prepare procedures and provide guidance to end users on best practice, tools & techniques to be embedded within the organization.
  • Interact with all technical packages and engineering disciplines.
  • Contribute to the development of workable policies, manage all day to day execution of work and maintain an overview with regards to all activities.
  • Provide personal guidance, instructions, coaching and manage team members.
  • Ensure high focus on HSSE & quality are maintain.
  • Ensure that projects are deliverein accordance with the contract.
  • Ensure projects are deliver in line with programme, quality and budget.
  • Input to risk register and manage risks identified for GIS and surveys technical scopes.
  • Manage package risks / action tracker / interfaces.
  • Contribute to project planning and scheduling ensuring that any deviations are identified and confirmed in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical management coordination of contractor, ensure that technical risks are identified and mitigated by Contractor.

Eligibility Criteria for Job:

  • You have an degree educational background in a suitable engineering discipline or similar, possess the ability to see things from a helicopter perspective and can advise and help based on your knowledge and know-how.
  • You have core knowledge of the GIS life cycle. This includes understanding of GIS end user requirements, knowledge of key data sources, knowledge of spatial data analysis techniques, and understanding of data management best practice, data security and standards.
  • You possess good interpersonal skills and can communicate technical messages in a clear and constructive way both internally and to external partners.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc or M.Sc degree in GIS engineering, Hydrographic Surveying, Geography or Geosciences or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in managing GIS systems and the delivery of complex projects, preferably in the offshore wind (or similar) industry.
  • Experience from executing at least one complete offshore wind farm project either as a technical lead or as GIS manager is beneficial.
  • Experience with technical management of survey scopes and ideally technical management of survey contractors.
  • Planning and organising skills.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels within and external to the company.
  • Experience in review and management of contractor documentation / engineering.
  • You are fluent in English, both verbally and written.
