Waipuna Hospice are seeking for Registered Nurse to join their team in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. Nurses must have experience in community nursing, palliative care and medical or oncology. Waipuna Hospice has a high profile in the Bay of Plenty for providing specialist community palliative care. As a registered nurse, selected candidate will be experienced in supporting individuals and families during their end-of-life care. Candidate must work 9-10 hours a week in the Inpatient Unit (IPU), focusing on improving patients physical needs to enhance their quality of life. To qualify this position candidate must have at least 3 years of nursing experience after graduating for this full-time permanent job position in our Health, Medical & Pharmaceutical department and have effective verbal and non- verbal communication skills.

Experience for registered nurse:

  • Candidate must have at least 3 years of nursing experience after graduating.
  • It must have effective organizational and time management skills are essential for efficient task coordination and prioritization.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of team.
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with various patient management systems.
  • Compassion and an understanding of working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and all walks of life.
