Service Stream

Service Stream’s SA Water Project team are currently seeking Civil Maintenance workers to join our growing company. Your core responsibilities will include undertaking reactive water / sewer network maintenance tasks as required by our client. As such, you will be required to provide general labour and plant operating skills in the repair of water assets and other associated network maintenance activities in the Adelaide metropolitan area. To be successful in this position you will be required to complete maintenance tasks and rectify faults effectively in a timely manner, whilst working cooperatively with all internal stakeholders meeting contractual targets in responding to and assessing all unplanned works.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be primarily responsible for Building, Maintaining, and Decommissioning Telecommunication Networks, including but not limited to Optus, Uecomm, NBN, Telstra, TPG, Telco Authorities and Power Utility. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Work onsite/in field as part of one or multiple crews daily
  • Working from ladders & EWP’s (Elevated Work Platform)
  • Willing and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside normal working hours on a regular basis.
  • Willing and able to work away from home from time to time
  • Communicate/report on scheduled works changes or to Field Supervisor.
  • Participate of actual site start up (i.e., mandatory pre-start activities)
  • Works in coordination with related 3rd parties such as landowners and regulatory authorities (e.g., power utility, council & transport).

About You

  • Experience in a Civil Excavation Works (Water / Wastewater / underground infrastructure or allied maintenance industries
  • Current drivers license essential (HR / HC / Excavator / Forklift highly desirable)
  • Tickets highly desirable include White Card / Traffic Management / Confined Space
  • Experience with MS Word and Apps
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team, to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Tools of trade include, vehicle, mobile, ipad/laptop (where required), PPE and uniform. As a multifaceted role, training and development is offered and participation essential. Applicants will be required to undertake a full health assessment and functional, national police clearance, right to work and reference checks.
