Sureway is one of Alberta’s largest heavy civil construction contractors, with over 49 years’ experience, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and off-sites, mine operation and aggregate extraction. Responsibilities:
- Maintain consistent communication with the operator both verbally and using hand signals.
- Continually scan the work area for potentially hazardous conditions or changing conditions.
- Complete all required field and shop paperwork including field level hazard assessments and behavior-based observation cards.
- Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures for Hydrovac operation.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.

Qualifications:
- One (1) year experience as a swamper on a hydrovac truck in an industrial setting is consider an asset.
- Class 3 license, with clean abstract, is considered an asset
- Physically demanding work conditions – Weather as well as physical
