If this describes you, we would love to invite you to join us! Part-Time Position – Minimum 22.5 hours per week, days and times can vary. Based at the vibrant Rooty Hill Social Wellness Centre. Anglicare operates several community centre-based Social Support/Respite groups and overnight Cottages across Sydney. Our centres and social group programs are designed to be fun and enabling environments, offering a variety of engaging activities based on our clients’ interests, such as games, dancing, exercise, arts (painting and pottery), crafts, movies, cooking, and outings.
Your Impact:
You’ll ensure that older people and those attending our services receive tailored support in a professional and respectful manner according to their individualized care plans, organizational policies, and procedures. Using your knowledge and understanding of wellness and reablement, you’ll work with our clients to help them remain as independent as possible and enjoy their time with us.
You’ll be based at our Rooty Hill site but may also fill in at other sites as needed. Anglicare seeks staff who can work weekdays, afternoons, and evenings as negotiated with the manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Planning and facilitating innovative group and individual activities
- Meal preparation and serving
- Personal care such as showering and toileting
- Medication prompting and assistance
- Cleaning and maintaining a safe workplace
- Transporting people to and from the groups
- Supporting family carers
What We’re Looking For:
- Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support/Nursing or equivalent
- Experience working with older people and those living with dementia
- A C Class Motor Vehicle License
- NSW registered and insured motor vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
