Machine Operator Job In Pact Group, New Zealand

Our Pact Reuse division eliminates single use through reuse solutions. The depth of our network and investment in technology ensure vital resources can be swiftly collected, sorted, cleaned and redistributed or repurposed at scale. The Machine Operator role will work alongside the Site Operations Manager with a primary focus on plant equipment operation, reliability, preventative maintenance and operations improvements.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Supporting the planned maintenance program for the site.
• Problem solving of equipment inefficiencies to root cause and implementing suitable measures to prevent repeat failures.
• Ensure effectiveness of the hour-by-hour board driving efficiencies and resources utilization.
• Propose improvements to equipment and processes to improve material flow and reduce cost.
• Ensure Site runs in accordance with company WHS&E systems.
• Ensure sense of urgency and demonstrate responsiveness to address unsafe conditions.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

• Prior experience working with maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Adept technical skills with relation to the trouble shooting and operation of automated process equipment.
• Be able to work as part of a Team.
• Exposure to automation and controls
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Continuous improvement focus
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate in diverse teams.
