Overview
The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment; gear and sprocket drives, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, loading systems, production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine facility maintenance as assigned
- Performs Preventative Maintenance regularly
- PLC Troubleshooting
- Observes and troubleshoots mechanical devices in operation by adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, as well as repairing/replacing defective parts
- Optimizes capabilities of various packing (bagging) machines
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices
- Responsible for aiding in startup process to ensure equipment is operating correctly
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Contains a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assist in resolving issues and fostering
- Continuous Improvement
- Keep maintenance shop and parts/tool/belt storage areas clean and organized.
- Fill out all required paperwork promptly and accurately.
- Work effectively and ensure that food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality are maintained.
- Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials, to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate action.
- All other duties as assigned
Experiences
- 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience required, preferably within a manufacturing facility
- Proven ability to successfully meet customer and management deadlines
- Highly organized, self-starter that can work with little direct supervision
- Ability to work a flex schedule as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
- Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three to five
- years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Compensation
- Hourly rate $25.75-32.45/hour based on experience. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental,
- vision, prescription drugs) available the first of the month following 30 days of employment, 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, vacation, holiday and sick time.
- 2nd Shift differential: $1.00/hr; 3rd Shift differential: $1.50/hr
