Te Whatu Ora are seeking for Manual Handling Coordinator position  to their team in Masterton, New Zealand. Manual Handling Coordinator in Masterton requiring a registered nurse or allied health professional to oversee and implement the moving and handling program, create injury prevention programs, offer training, ensure safety compliance, and meet legal standards. This role requires a registered nurse or an allied health professional to manage the overseeing and implementing the moving and handling program within the hospital. For this full-time permanent role within the occupational health and safety department, the candidate will develop and deliver programs aimed at reducing and preventing injury and work-related ill health.

Responsibilities for Manual Handling Coordinator :

  • Candidate is responsible in provide initial training and continuous educational support.
  • Ensure staff practice at the highest level of competence in safe moving and handling.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices and legal regulations.
  • Development and delivery of programmes designed to reduce and prevent injury and work-related ill health.
  • Providing initial and continuous training and education sessions.

Qualifications and Experiences

  •  Candidate must have degree or diploma in nursing, allied health, or a related field.
  •  Certification as a registered nurse or allied health professional.
  •  Familiarity with best practices and legislative requirements in manual handling and occupational health and safety.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and enjoys collaborating with people.
  • Proven ability to identify risks, develop strategies to mitigate them, and troubleshoot issues related to manual handling and safety.
