Job Description:
National Agri-Solutions is seeking a skilled Market Development Agronomist to join a global business with a 40-year legacy of engaging with growers worldwide, specializing in bio-stimulants. Based in Europe and operating in Australia for the past decade, the company is expanding its technical sales team in South Australia. This role offers an experienced agronomist the opportunity to enhance their technical, agronomic, and commercial skills while working in the horticulture production regions of South Australia. You will play a pivotal role in promoting the company’s innovative products, engaging with growers, agronomy consultants, and rural retailers, and driving business growth through strategic market development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and establish field activities, such as commercial demo plots, grower field days, and grower meetings, to promote the company’s bio-stimulant products.
- Leverage distributor partners to amplify demand generation activities.
- Develop and implement a detailed territory business plan based on robust market intelligence and key opportunity focus to meet sales targets.
- Provide timely and accurate forecasting using environmental outlooks, market information, product positioning, and competitive knowledge.
- Proactively identify and create plans to capture opportunities for business expansion in the territory.
- Ensure effective product positioning and demonstrate the value of products and technologies to growers and key stakeholders.
- Manage local customer relationships, ensuring excellent communication and proactive resolution of customer questions, feedback, and issues.
- Record and address customer inquiries and feedback promptly to maintain high service standards.
- Collaborate with technical staff, on-farm agronomists, production/farm managers, and business managers to strengthen their understanding of the company’s products.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in agricultural science or a related field.
- Previous experience in horticultural, nut, or tree crop agronomy.
- Strong ability to establish, maintain, and develop relationships with agronomists, growers, and other stakeholders by providing quality information and solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse industry stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently from a home-based office and travel within South Australia’s horticulture production regions.
- Valid Australian driver’s license.
- Proactive, strategic mindset with a focus on market intelligence and business development.
