Te Whatu Ora is seeking a mental health assistant to join their team at Marlborough’s Wairau Hospital in New Zealand. For this mental health assistant position in Marlborough, candidate must possess strong communication skills and have experience in the mental health field or health support. Candidate should demonstrate flexibly and methodical work habits, along with qualities such as honesty, reliability, and the ability to exercise appropriate initiative. Candidates must have a year 11 national certificate of educational achievement (NCEA ) level 1 in English and Maths. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range $59,024 – $74,442 per year.

Responsibilities for Mental Health Assistant:

  • Candidate is responsible to support the multidisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive clinical resources.

  • Capability to work under the supervision and guidance of registered health professionals.
  • It must posses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
