Shift: Flexible hours, including weekends as needed
What You’ll Do
As a DZ Delivery Driver, you’ll be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials on local and short inter-urban routes. Your key responsibilities include:
- Operating straight trucks to deliver goods and materials efficiently
- Conducting pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and other systems
- Loading and unloading cargo, ensuring proper securing of goods per safety standards
- Assisting customers with equipment setup and operation as needed
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers, team members, and customers using on-board devices
- Maintaining accurate records of cargo, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Administering bills of lading and maintaining electronic or manual logbooks
- Reporting maintenance issues to the truck foreman and performing minor emergency roadside repairs if needed
- Ensuring all operations are conducted safely to minimize risks of injury or property damage
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Valid AZ or DZ Driver’s License with a Class D License and Air Brake Endorsement
- Clean driver’s abstract
- 1-2 years of driving experience, with experience in equipment operation as an asset
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual tasks
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a team-oriented mindset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends
- Commitment to safety and following all operational procedures
