Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Mushroom Cultivation:

  • Assist in planting, cultivating, and maintaining mushroom crops under controlled conditions.

  • Monitor and maintain optimal growing conditions for mushrooms.

• Harvesting and Processing:

  • Harvest mushrooms according to quality standards.

  • Sort, pack, and prepare mushrooms for market distribution.

• Farm Maintenance:

  • Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and facilities to ensure a hygienic and efficient environment.

  • Perform general farm duties to support daily operations.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow farm safety and bio-security protocols to maintain a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.

• Experience: No prior experience necessary; on-the-job training will be provided.

• Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a controlled indoor environment.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to specialized mushroom farming techniques.

• Work Environment Adaptability:

  • Comfortable working in a controlled agricultural setting, which may include humid or temperature-regulated conditions.

• Eligibility:

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
