Otago community hospice is seeking operations planner for our specialist palliative care team in Dunedin, New Zealand. Our intermediate planning coordinator plays a vital role in leading a diverse and multidisciplinary team. Candidate are committed to continuous improvement and strive for excellence across all facets of service delivery, education and professional development. It must have ability to support a team towards a common goal of providing exemplary palliative care. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range $130,278 per year. Candidate must have a minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in palliative care, with prior leadership experience in a clinical health department.

Qualification for Operations Planning:

  • Candidate are required to have a minimum of five years post- graduate experience in palliative care.
  • Prior experience in such areas as acute medical, oncology and palliative care.
  • Hold or willing to pursue a Master’s Degree in health sciences within 12 months of appointment.
  • Ability to work towards an except portfolio (PDRP) following the New Zealand nursing council’s framework.
  • Confident in public speaking and education delivery.
  • Moderate to expert level of IT skills, including proficiency in  Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
