About this opportunity
We’re looking for a mechanically minded person to work as part of the operational team, providing PET specific technical services. The role is about ensuring the efficient running of the production machinery and ensuring the process has the capability to meet all facets of the customer’s requirements in a manner that does not compromise the safety of the team members. This role is a night shift, 11.00pm – 07.00am Monday to Friday.
Your key responsibilities will be to
- Performing die changes on all PET equipment, including setup of ancillary equipment
- Ensuring that the product is up to quality specifications at start up
- Assisting with the efficient operation of the production area
- Carry out routine maintenance on work centres
- Trouble shooting problems with machines, tools, and ancillaries
Your skills
- Plastics Trade qualification Level 4 and/or sufficient Plastics Processing Experience + Mechanical Experience.
- Preferably with PET processing experience plus Injection/Blow Molding experience.
- Aoki machine experience (advantageous)
- Flexibility and the ability to work night shifts.
- Experience working in a plastics manufacturing environment across multiple production processes.
- A well-organized and disciplined approach to work.
- A great attitude – have this and we are willing to train and develop you.
- Knowledge of and experience working in a Continuous Improvement environment.
