Reporting through to the Processing Supervisor, we are seeking applications from Process Technicians with prior experience in a gold process plant, and knowledge and understanding of the following.
Required
- Crushing & Grinding
- HPGR’s
- Flotation and filtration
- CIP & Gold recovery
- Carbon management
- Reagent management
- Residual disposal
- Permitting and Isolations
You will actively contribute to the operating functions within the Processing Plant to achieve optimal operational and production goals in a safe manner while ensuring compliance with relevant procedures, polices, legal requirements and agreed conditions.
Key Accountabilities
- Demonstrate awareness of safety and environmental practices throughout all areas of Newmont Boddington Gold
- Consistently behave in a safe manner that prevents injury to oneself and to others.
- Ensure compliance with all procedures and reporting of unsafe/hazardous conditions to supervisors.
- Actively participate in all safety and environmental meetings and audits, risk assessments and Toolbox meetings.
- Complete pre-starts to ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard and defective equipment is repaired.
- Perform and coordinate plant inspections as per schedules and according to set operating parameters and procedures.
- Inspect and audit work areas and practices for compliance with site standards, procedures and policies.
- Maintain 100% completion of all mandatory training competencies.
- Participate in the continued development of training manuals and relevant documentation.
- Encourage and support workplace diversity and inclusion
About you
You will be a team-oriented individual with a genuine interest in continuing your career as a Process Technician at Boddington. You will be computer literate, hold a current manual C class driver’s license and demonstrate a safe, positive attitude to your work. An HR driver’s license would all be advantageous. Your “can do” attitude and your willingness to participate in team objectives and goals will be essential to your success in this role.
