Haynes currently have an opportunity for an experienced Production Operator to join our valued client based in Dubbo.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating machinery to complete customers’ orders to specification within agreed schedule
- Performing regular maintenance on production equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Keeping a close watch on the production process to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Running and monitoring machines used in various stages of steel production, such as furnaces, rolling mills, and casting machines.
- Inspecting raw materials and finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
- Moving semi-finished and finished steel products within the facility using cranes, forklifts, or other equipment.
Successful Candidate must
- Hold a current C Class Drivers License + Reliable Transport
- Physically Fit – able to undertake manual handling.
- Prior experience with sheet metal folding
- Holds a current forklift license with proven experience
- Ability to work in a team environment and holds a sound understanding of safety in the workplace.
- Computer knowledge – advantageous
- Mechanically minded – advantageous
