The ideal candidate have ability to provide professional, technical and safe administration of anaesthesia to patients. The candidate must have ability to prepare patients for anaesthesia, which includes completing all necessary pre-anaesthesia checks, explaining procedures to patients and monitoring their condition before and after anaesthesia. Applicant must have practical experience in a clinical setting, typically obtained through university training. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $5.20 per hour.
Qualification for Qualified Anaesthetic Technician /ODP:
- Candidate must hold degree in anaesthetic technology .
- Registration with the Medical sciences council of New Zealand.
- It must have practical experience in a clinical setting, often obtained through supervised training program during education.
- Proficiency in the use of anaesthetic equipment and strong understanding of human physiology and pharmacology.
- Providing training and support to junior staff or students in the department.
Responsibilities for Qualified Anaesthetic Technician/ODP:
- Candidate is responsible for monitor patients during their recovery from anaesthesia and assisting in the immediate post-operative care.
- Must hold bachelor’s of health science in perioperative practice level 7.
- Provide safe administration of anaesthesia to patients.
- Ability to coordinate documentation to ensure the patient receives effective care.
- It must provide professional, technical and clinical assistance to anaesthetists to ensure safe and effective administration of anaesthesia.
- Support anaesthetists during procedures by handling them instruments, managing anaesthetic drugs and ensuring the patient remains stable.
