Reach Driver-Team Global Express, New Zealand

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand scaling from Kaitaia to Invercargill. Our Logistics team in Otahuhu (TP1) are on the hunt for an experienced reach driver who can load and unload, complete picking outbound orders and put-always for inbound freight on our afternoon shift; 12pm – 8.30pm Monday to Friday.

The opportunity

You will be responsible in ensuring the timely, efficient and safe handling of freight in order for the company to achieve their target delivery goals, on time and damage free. The right candidate will be a friendly, energetic, and positive team player with a customer focused attitude and a reliable work ethic.

Additional key duties below:

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently
• Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete
• Priorities health and safety and ensure all MHE is operated in a safe and proficient manner
• Communicate effectively within a team environment

Your Skills

To be successful in this role, you will be a team player with prior reach and counterbalance experience. Additionally, you will need:

• An OSH approved forklift certificate
• Counterbalance forklift and reach truck experience
• Prior work experience in the freight/logistics industry
• A strong health and safety focus
• Experience with RF Scanners
• Continuous improvement ideas around inward and outward goods movements
