Rehabilitation Support Worker

Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking an rehabilitation support worker to join team at Taranaki base hospital in New Zealand. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centred care, assist with equipment tasks and offers clerical and administrative support within the hospital. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 – $60,000 per year. The candidate is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients within the allied health assistant inpatient community, supporting the best care for our people.

Qualifications for Rehabilitation Support Worker:

• Candidate must have high school diploma and require post-secondary education.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a healthcare setting, particularly in occupational therapy.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professional.
• It must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail for handling clerical and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities for Rehabilitation Support Worker:

• Candidate is responsible for assisting patients with exercises and therapy activities as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Preparing maintaining and cleaning therapy equipment and treatment areas.
• Ensuring therapy areas are clean and organized.
• Managing patient records, scheduling appointments and handling administrative functions.
